As 2nd Assistant Director and SFX/HAMU on "Where the Sand Meets the Sea," I helped bring the concept to life by ensuring the production ran smoothly and that the visual effects added depth to the story. I coordinated timing and logistics on set to maintain the film's pacing and atmosphere, while also creating realistic makeup and effects that emphasized the toll of nuclear war. From gruesome weathered skin to face paint to scars, the SFX/HAMU work enhanced the desolate, post-apocalyptic world and reflected the emotional and physical hardship.
